Extra point will move to the 15-yard line with some rule changes

According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, the NFL has passed the Competition Committee's recommendation to move the extra point attempt after a touchdown back to the 15-yard line, now making it a 33-yard attempt.
Two-point conversions will remain at the 2-yard line.
Defenses will now have an opportunity to return blocked extra points, fumbles, or interceptions for two points.
The Competition Committee has been looking for ways to change things up following a score. PATs have become a near-certainty with kickers making more than 99% of attempts.
There were three proposals on the table for the rule change. Proposal number 14 would place extra points at the 15-yard line with two-point conversions still at the 2. Failed extra points would be a dead ball. Proposal number 14A, the winning scenario, is described above. Proposal number 14B would have also move the extra point to the 15, but two-point conversions would have moved to the 1-yard line, possibly resulting in more attempts and more scoring.
Proposal number 14 was submitted by the New England Patriots with proposal number 14A by the Competition Committee and proposal number 14B by the Philadelphia Eagles.
What is even more interesting is what happens after a penalty.

The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
