It may not be huge news here in the states, but it is drawing huge attention in Australia. Jarryd Hayne, officially listed as a running back and kick returner with the San Francisco 49ers, is getting more attention at the team's three-day minicamp than any other player.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee posted a photo of Hayne being surrounded by media, mostly from Australia, in Santa Clara.

Hayne left a very successful career as a rugby star in Australia to play in the NFL. His team selection can be compared to a Lebron James type decision -- with the difference that James did not leave the NBA for soccer overseas.

He trained with his new quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, during the offseason.

Below is the photo of the media surrounding Hayne.

Somewhere in this throng of Aussies is Jarryd Hayne. #49ers
