Report: 49ers seeking second interview with Denver OC Gase

More than six years after Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase spent a season in Santa Clara, it appears the 49ers have a strong interest in renewing acquaintances with their onetime offensive assistant. The 49ers are expected to seek a second interview with Gase and make a "final push" to make him their next head coach, NFL Network reported. The 49ers have not had a second interview with any of their head-coaching candidates.

Add another tight end to the list of players the San Francisco 49ers have expressed interest in. Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 reports that the team has spoken with former Kentucky tight end Brenden Bates as part of its pre-draft evaluation process.

On Wednesday, Chat Sports contributor Chase Senior reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers were "aggressively pursuing" San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. He further stated that the Steelers are confident they can finalize a deal for the star player.
