The Raiders (1-11) have a recent history of ineptitude, but that hasn't deterred Harbaugh in the past. When he arrived at Stanford, the Cardinal was coming off a 1-11 record and had endured five straight losing seasons. The 49ers hadn't reached the playoffs for eight straight seasons when Harbaugh was hired in 2011.
