San Francisco 49ers legendary wide receiver and NFL Hall-of-Famer Jerry Rice is in China trying to entice the world's most-populous country to tune into NFL football on every given Sunday, according to reports.An NBC News crew captured Rice in the moment in Beijing, where NFL officials are "demystifying the game" by "putting footballs in [Chinese peoples'] hands."On Sunday, Rice put on a clinic, which one young fan described as "the greatest football experience of my life."There is also already a flag football league in Beijing, but NBC noted the country is "with little history of contact sports like American football."Photo Credit: Mathew Luschek

Two reported 49ers pre-draft visits didn't end up happening

Despite initial reports, two draft prospects who were set to visit the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft ultimately did not meet with the team. Matt Barrows of The Athletic revealed that former USC wide receiver Brenden Rice and former Oregon safety Jamal Hill didn't end up visiting the Bay Area organization.
Barrows wrote, "Meanwhile, a report in March indicated that USC receiver Brenden Rice, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, would visit the 49ers, but he didn't end up coming, according to two league sources."

According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, the team recently welcomed two Texas A&M linemen for pre-draft visits: Layden Robinson, an offensive guard, and McKinnley Jackson, a defensive tackle.
