Nick Bosa's mother pleaded for Chargers to trade Joey Bosa to 49ers
By David Bonilla
Mar 12
The San Francisco 49ers probably won't make another big move at defensive end after agreeing to terms with Leonard Floyd and Yetur Gross-Matos on two-year deals. However, before news of the signings broke, the Bosa family seemed to be hoping for brothers Nick and Joey to become teammates in Santa Clara.
The brothers' mother, Cheryl Bosa, responded to an Instagram post speculating about the Los Angeles Chargers trading Joey Bosa to the 49ers. This would unite him with Nick Bosa and create a formidable family duo on the team's defensive line.

Could the San Francisco 49ers end up with two Bosas on defense? Nick Bosa will be entering his sixth NFL season in 2024. In his NFL career, he's been named AP Defensive Rookie of the Year (2019), AP Defensive Player of the Year (2022), is a four-time Pro Bowler and has also been named All-Pro. But the 49ers have struggled to find someone on the opposite side of Bosa who can consistently get after the quarterback.
