LISTEN: Final 49ers 7-Round Mock Draft With Steph Sanchez →

Upon Further Review: We want your questions!

The 49ers just lost a tough game in New Orleans to the Saints. AJ and Diego certainly have a lot on their minds right now, but we imagine that so do our readers, so we will be taking your questions in the comments section and will try to respond most of your concerns/comments/suggestions in our upcoming post later this week.

Looking forward to your questions/comments below!

Why does Greg Roman still have a job with the 49ers? If this continues and Greg Roman stays will this mean Coach H is going to be looking for other work soon? How many 1st and 10s call for the same play or similar plays with Gore straight out of the backfield? Why is the 49ers offense stale and predictable? Is Youngstown and family first exactly what the 49ers need? Why is America turning into the land of the "weak" (i.e. Brooks hit, Whitner's fine, etc.)? Why in the 2nd quarter with seconds left do we run on 3rd and long and then punt the ball away instead of appearing to do this and then taking a shot downfield and catching everyone off guard? Why are the 49ers boring to watch with uninspired run plays and predictable short pass plays? Why are there more questions than answers? I love you guys, keep up the good work!

First someone mentioned the word "politics." Remember everybody that the QB position for the 9ers is one the least taxing on there salary cap...... That is until Kap will finally effect "CAP" next year. And DAMN if he can avoid any kind of "SERIOUS" injury, and the niners D carries them into the playoffs, (as we all no anything can happen) and whatever happens he is considered a "PLAYOFF QB" so caching add more zeroes..There goes major signings in free agency ,trading down so we can afford to sign who we do choose in the 4,5,7,rounds. Can you kinda see the fog clearing with the mist...I won't go into the worst call Ever in at least 3 years. Brees is gravity challenged. Was Brooks supposed crawl in and oh fuck it I wasn't going there. I am anxious for some inner league-defensive player comments. Coach and the boy's were pretty damn classy for the way they dealt with post game BS. I am damn near 50 and have and always will be 1000000% loyal to my NINERS, GIANTS, WARRIORS, and CAL, and I watch UFC, so between Big Rig getting the shaft by some Nevada nanny knitting a sweater while GSP was getting his ass handed to him, and bunch of Cajun Zebras watching a cheetah tackle a gazelle.

Assuming 49ers fall very short in the playoffs, do you think the 49ers will use a 2nd round pick on a QB, considering Kaep may be regressing?

It looks as if Kap has really lost confidence. He is just missing some basics that keep the chains moving, that lead to points. Im not saying that kap sucks nor discounting all the other mistakes that cost us this game (including that rob job by the refs) but Im talking about a specific play where Colin rolls out his primary read is Boldin, Boldin turns is wide open for a FD, Kap looks right at him and doesn't throw the ball. You see the frustration on Boldins face. IDC If everyone has to work Tuesday on their day off. Can the coaches sit and just play by play breakdown the film with him. Ask him "colin, what happen on this play?" "what is keeping you from throwing this ball?" try to begin to work on some of the basics that will help this offense move. I just feel like the answer cant be "im sure they are doing that" cuz why is he not throwing that F-ing ball then??

Sometimes you have to wonder, 3 years ago the 49ers wr stunk. What has changed? We give up parys harylson for a 7th, so when aldon is missing we pick up a guy off the streets. Why do we have not a single player producing from the 2012 draft? Why did we think Moore, Williams and aj Jenkins were good enough to play wr? Why haven't we fired the wr scouts and coaches? If we don't improve after 3 years shouldn't the coaches be held accountable? How can you be the absolute worse passing team in the league, when the league rules virtually dictate you have to throw the ball to win? ( soon having bad breath is going to be a personal foul if a qb smells it) hate to say this but Harbaugh sure reminds me more of Dikta than Walsh. That is not a good thing. Too much talk on this team ( see the worst safty in football whitner) shut up and do something, this ain't politics!

RKab! I like your style. Your absolutely right. After last year a lot guys on the Niners thought they got robbed of a SB. Everyone in this organization thought they were the team in the NFC. Complacency is what killed this teams drive. JH is always the first one to say he hates compliments. Well, JH you looked like garbage today! Let me know if you want me to come in and give you and the team a motivational speech.

What do I have to do to get a try-out with the Niners? I think I can play WR for this team. I'm 6-4" I weigh 225 lbs. I'm in pretty good shape. I don't have the speed of Jon Baldwin. But when I run a pass route, I look in the back field... and if the QB doesn't have the ball....I assume the ball is in the air...and I look for it! How's that? Did I pass the mental?

Our D cannot play much better than they're playing. These losses on our on the offense. Specifically let's be honest -- Greg Roman is barely better than Jimmy Raye -- remember that moron?? Don't know how anyone in their right mind would ever consider him an offensive genius. Kap is not ready for prime time even though he performed spectacularly last season including the SB. But he has hit a wall and it's unclear whether he has what it takes to return to that form. We are losing games because of Roman and Kap. The buck stops with Harbaugh. He seems to have lost some focus since last season. WAKE UP COACH! We're at risk of losing the season.

Given the players that the 49ers offense has: What is the best coaching strategy when the defense puts 10 men in the box? It appears that teams are showing a blatant disrespect for the 49ers passing game.

Is it time to think on a QB change? Kaepernick is playing really really poorly. Was he overated? Who may be good replacement for Greg Roman?

Look, all in all Kaepernick is making the throws to win games. As he did with McDonald last week, he threw passes to Gore and Baldwin that could have won both games. To win a SuperBowl you have to make plays. The defense for the 9ers is still good. Only question is with the return of a healthy Crabtree can the 9ers run the table to the playoffs where all bets are off and their chances are as good as any.

Does anyone have Baalke's email address? I was thinking of signing a one week contract before the holidays. I can scratch my butt with one hand and pick my nose with the other. I'm not kidding! I think I have more than proved I have the hand eye coordination to be a starting WR. for the NFC champion 49ers. Seriously, Baalke. You guys need some help.

With the draft picks we have coming at the end of the season, I thought it would have made sense in giving up some just to get WR Gordon from Cleveland. Mario and Crabtree was injured at the time and upon their return along with Gordon would have gave Kap plenty options and opened up the offense a lot more with that addition and Davis as well. Do you think they should have gave up something then like both 2nd round picks just to get an explosive receiver like Gordon?

What is the biggest problem withe passing game? Is it Kap, lack of quality receivers or poor play calling? Also what happened to the read option? Has the league figured it out, is Kap being held back or as I suspect, is it due to lack of a passing game.

-I love it!! 9 men in the box and we still run the ball up to the middle on 1st down. -Boldin open on several plays and Kaep looking like a deer on the freeway. -2 minute drives for negative yards. -Gore dropping a possible game-winning pass like McDonald did it in the last game. -The refs calling a penalty only because they saw a hard hit on a Super Bowl winning QB and that is forbidden these days. -Kaepernick is awful in every aspect of the game, he can't read defenses, his pocket awareness is horrible, his footwork is horrendous..........but hey, everything that happened because Vernon was out of the game!!............oh wait..........but but but Crabtree is going to solve all the problems with our horrible QB play and our play calling right? right AJ?

We need to get rid of Offensive C and if the head coach can't get it right get rid of him too.

Am I the only one that lost a lot of respect for JH and Baalke after we signed John Skelton? JH was spewing complements about this guy....This is John F-ing Skelton! He has the mobility of an Oak tree and the decision making skills of Richard Gere's gerbil! And then less than one week later we cut the guy! Seriously WTF? One more thing, Can someone please take the challenge hankey out of JH's pants! Seriously WTF?

Were the 49ers too "cocky" coming into this year? I feel like this year is the Rocky II / III year where we got so close to winning it all that we began to believe our own hype. I've seen more Kaepernick commercials than completions. The team loses Crabtree early but never tries to truly replace him. The team has more draft picks than passing plays but we don't make a move to pick up any of the receives on the market, including guys like Josh Gordon who went off again today. We stick with AJ Jenkins, then don't stick with AJ Jenkins. Aldon Smith thinks he's Scarface then pulls a Ted Kennedy. Where's the hunger? Where's the leadership? This team is older at key positions than people think. You don't just replace a Cowboy. Seattle is Clubber Lang. And we need to find an Apollo Creed and move to LA and start training. We need the eye of the tiger baby.

Who's responsible for Kaps inadequacies. He does not move the pocket to get extra sec to pass. His decision making looks apprehensive (slow). When he runs, he loods scared. Maybe its jus5t me.

I wonder if Colt would have "hot hands " if we put him instead of Kap. I would love to see what he could do.

Questions? You want questions? When is the NFL going to decide that spending a couple minutes reviewing personal foul penalties to get them right is the best thing for the game. There is no reason not to do this.

Actually I don't think it's too farfetched to suggest that OC Greg Roman should be replaced. Remember what Coach Harbaugh's brother did mid season by replacing his OC? Only impact that had was a successful SB run. I hope John whispers in Jim's ear this week. And Kap has clearly regressed. Too full of himself too soon. Right now Alex Smith would look pretty good. Just sayin'.

Question #1 Why do fans in S.F say we need to run the ball more, when we know running the ball is not going to win a game against an elite offense or an elite run stuffing defense (NO, Seattle, Carolina, Dallas, Philadelphia) Question #2 How do teams like N.O that lose a player like Graham and Sproles, not miss a beat? (Please answer for Roman. Losing Crabtree or Davis should not preclude an OC. to just say screw our passing game) Question #3 Does Roman suck every Sunday because these losses are going to keep on coming? Here's hoping he spits out a win next week!

When are the niners gonna get a NEW OC WR Coach and QB coach? Because they need a change in these position bad.

Ronan's not going anywhere, so I think the only other option is benching Kaep. It's not a question as much as its a statement. If the knee jerk answer is "Kaep's" the Niners best option, I say hogwash. McCoy or Bethel-Thompson can throw for 90 and 125 in consecutive losses and still look downright ordinary while beating sub .500 teams. Just wanted to get your thoughts since Kaep has clearly regressed; perhaps new QB could lead to new/better play calling...?

The nfl is now a baby league. When I started watching football that sack by Brooks would have been a great play. I can't stand watching all the flags come out on every great hit. I am done with the nfl for good after today!!

Why are the play calls keeping Kaepernick in the pocket!? He is NOT a prototype pocket passer!!!! His strength was read option and rolling out of the pocket because of the fear of his rushing ability. We saw it in the game the few plays where his rush threat was present the receivers were WIDE OPEN!!!

It's obvious we have no Off. even when Colin makes a great play Gore drops it , the play calling is predictable , now we have 4 wins less then Seattle , and Cards have same wins as us , we're in trouble.

Former NFL WR: Brandon Aiyuk told me he doesn't want to leave 49ers

By David Bonilla
Apr 22

Former NFL wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh claims to have recently spoken to Brandon Aiyuk, stating that the star player has no desire to leave the San Francisco 49ers. Aiyuk and the 49ers are currently negotiating a contract extension, aiming to finalize a new deal. Of course, that hasn't prevented significant media speculation surrounding Aiyuk's future, with many wondering if the delay might hint at a potential trade. Well-informed 49ers fans know that the team typically finalizes its significant contract extensions closer to training camp, as seen with George Kittle in 2020, Fred Warner in 2021, and Deebo Samuel in 2022. Last year, negotiations with Nick Bosa concluded just days before Week
