49ers showing interest in Wroten

Scott Rabalais, of the Advocate, reports LSU DL Claude Wroten said the San Francisco 49ers are one of the two NFL teams showing the most interest in him. Wroten expects to go anywhere from the late first to late third rounds, but knows he could have gone much higher. Wroten was arrested Jan. 5 in Monroe on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. "I know if this incident hadn't happened I would have been a top 20 pick," Wroten said Tuesday, April 25.

Dorsey will have to fight to make the final roster

The San Francisco Chronicle reports San Francisco 49ers QB Ken Dorsey will have to fight hard in training camp to make the team's final roster. Dorsey will need to outplay QB Jesse Palmer, QB Cody Pickett and possibly a veteran acquisition to remain with the team. Head coach Mike Nolan repeatedly has stated that he would like to add an experienced quarterback who could mentor former first overall pick, QB Alex D. Smith.

Contract updates

The San Francisco Chronicle reports San Francisco 49ers S Mike Adams signed his one-year, $425,000 tender offer to remain with the team.

49ers QB Ken Dorsey signed his one-year, $721,600 tender offer to remain with the team.
