During the post game press conference, when San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was asked if Colin Kaepernick would be the starting quarterback going forward, he said "We'll see. Usually tend to go with the guy who's got the hot hand and we've got two quarterbacks that have got a hot hand."
This may not be good news for Alex Smith, who sat this game out while he recovers from a concussion suffered last week against the St. Louis Rams. Of course, the comment could have been made in order to add some confusion for the New Orleans Saints, who the 49ers play on Sunday afternoon. You just never know with Harbaugh.
Kaepernick was 16 of 23 for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns on Monday night in the 49ers 32-7 rout of the Chicago Bears.
