Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows) of the Sacramento Bee is reporting via Twitter that quarterback Daunte Culpepper is still on the premises of the San Francisco 49ers headquarters / practice facility.

Culpepper is having a post-workout lunch.

It is speculated that the team may sign Culpepper to be the third quarterback on the roster, and that the starting competition remains a two-man race between Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick.

According to Barrows, former Sacramento Mountain Lions (UFL) tight end Nate Lawrie says that Culpepper should not have a problem picking up the 49ers offense since the Mountain Lions ran a West Coast Offense themselves.
