While our front page countdown counts the seconds until the first San Francisco 49ers training camp session that is open to the public, the team's first practice will actually be held on Sunday.
Head coach Mike Singletary decided on Thursday to open practice a day earlier than originally scheduled. The team will hold their first practice on Sunday and then two more on Monday, the first of which is closed to the general public.
The second will be open to fans with tickets. All practices take place at the team's headquarters and practice facility in Santa Clara.
The complete 49ers rookie class will be in attendance. Anthony Davis, Mike Iupati, Taylor Mays and Navorro Bowman, the last of the unsigned draft selections, all signed their first NFL contracts with the 49ers.
