Battle and Pashos drawing interest; Ware may visit 49ers
According to Matt Barrows of the
Sacramento Bee, wide receiver Arnaz Battle is drawing some interest during free agency. He has visits scheduled this weekend with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks. Barrows states, "The Seahawks also are short a receiver after Nate Burleson signed with the Lions. As for the Steelers, Battle always has drawn comparisons with Hines Ward."
According to Ravens Insider, tackle Tony Pashos is on his way to visit the Redskins. This is bad news for the 49ers as they have expressed interest in resigning Pashos.
There were early rumors last night that Arizona Cardinals safety Matt Ware would be visiting an NFC West team or teams, but it was unknown which teams it would be. Barrows' guess is that it will be Seattle and San Francisco.
Ware, in the league for six years, started one game last season while playing in 11. He had 24 tackles and one interception. Not familiar with Ware? Here is a clip of Ware taking on 49ers running back Frank Gore.
