Mar 12, 2018 at 7:40 AM--

Richard Sherman wants revenge after getting released. The newly signed 49ers cornerback told the MMQB.com Sunday he feels "vengeful" after the Seahawks fired him Friday, and general manager John Lynch said the 49ers' ability to play Seattle twice a year in the NFC West was very appealing to the jilted All-Pro. "I'm vengeful in that way," Sherman said of facing Seattle, later adding: "I love the (Seahawks) fan base to death, and I loved playing there. It was such a great opportunity. I helped the organization get to a great place and stay there. But now it's like I abandoned them. People are out there burning my jersey. Come on. I'm not the one who let me go. They let me go. I didn't abandon anybody.
