Safety Justin Reid, the younger brother of 49ers safety Eric Reid, is among six Stanford players who have earned invitations to the NFL combine in Indianapolis. Of the 326 invitees, nine are from Northern California colleges: Stanford leads the way and California, Humboldt State and San Jose State will have one player represented. The 49ers have selected a Stanford player in the first round of the past two drafts. They took defensive lineman Solomon Thomas No. 3 overall last year after trading up to draft guard Joshua Garnett at No. 28 in 2016.
