Lynch Says 49ers are Working Hard to Sign Garoppolo
John Lynch had a message for 49ers fans this week: Don't worry.The general manager of the 49ers and his team are negotiating with representatives of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, trying to work out a long-term deal. Though nothing has been finalized, Lynch says he's confident it will happen.Lynch told the NFL Network at the Senior Bowl that a long-term contract "makes too much sense not to happen.""When you find the right guy at that position it's really good for your franchise," said Lynch, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. The San Francisco 49ers announced the signing of wide receiver Trent Taylor to a one-year deal, reuniting with the team's former fifth-round draft pick out of Louisiana Tech.
Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area was the first to report that the 49ers were discussing a potential reunion with Taylor. The receiver was part of head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch's first draft class in 2017 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the team.

The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have signed cornerback Rock Ya-Sin to a one-year deal. He becomes the third cornerback to join the team this offseason. The Niners previously signed free agents Isaac Yiadom and Chase Lucas to one-year deals.
