On Thursday, Staley reiterated what he has said the past few seasons when there has been speculation he could be dealt at the trade deadline, which in this case is Tuesday. The Eagles (6-1), who will host the 49ers on Sunday, could be in the market for a left tackle after All-Pro Jason Peters suffered a season-ending knee injury Monday. "I always wanted to play for the 49ers," Staley said. "And my thoughts don't change now." There have been reports in recent seasons that Staley was the subject of trade discussions.
