According to a source, San Jose State WR Tim Crawley has been invited to attend the San Francisco 49ers' local pro day on April 12. While the 49ers are allowed to host only 30 visitors to the team's headquarters in Santa Clara, they can host an unlimited number of local draft-eligible prospects.

The local pro day will feature athletes from college programs in the area like Stanford, Cal, and San Jose State. Draft prospects from the Bay Area who played for college teams elsewhere are also eligible to take part.

Crawley played four years for the Spartans and the 49ers were in attendance for the school's pro day on March 14. The wide receiver was among the 16 players who took part in that pro day. Crawley has speed as he ran a 4.38 40-yard dash during workouts.

During his college career, Crawley had 151 receptions for 1,699 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also added 104 carries for 421 yards as running back with the Spartans. Crawley had his best year receiving as a senior in 2016 when he caught the football 55 times for 648 yards and three touchdowns.

Crawley has also reportedly received interest from the Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, and Cleveland Browns.

The source feels that Crawley could serve in a Taylor Gabriel-type role within 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense. Many believe that the 5-foot-7, 170-pound receiver could also serve as a returner on special teams. As a kick returner with San Jose State, he averaged 20.2 yards per return.
