49ers kicker Robbie Gould has weathered storms throughout career

The new 49ers kicker's strength comes from spending 11 seasons employed in Chicago fairly well-known nickname: In 2005, Gould, in his sixth NFL game, was part of a 17-9 win over the 49ers at Soldier Field that featured gale-force gusts. (Defensive tackle) Anthony Adams still gives me a lot of grief for it. The 49ers' Joe Nedney made 3 of 4 field-goal attempts ("Probably the best kicking performance I've ever seen," Gould said), and Gould made 1 of 2 tries, missing a 39-yarder. Both were undrafted and spent part of their first NFL season with the Patriots, where they learned from Adam Vinatieri. Dawson, who signed with the 49ers in 2013 after 14 seasons in Cleveland, was the 2015 team MVP and made 86.1 percent (99 of 115) of his attempts during his tenure. Rumors have swirled regarding the situation between the San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who is entering his fifth NFL season and is slated to earn $14.124 million on a team-executed fifth-year option. Despite the 49ers publicly declaring a desire to sign Aiyuk to a contract extension, keeping him on the roster for the foreseeable future, many rumors have focused on potential trade interest. Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus unveiled a seven-round mock draft for the San Francisco 49ers, addressing several key needs for the team in the 10-pick projection. Interestingly, the mock draft sees the team adding two legacy players. But before delving into that, let's examine the first three selections. Sikkema has the 49ers shoring up their offensive line at pick No. 31 with the selection of former Arizona offensive tackle Jordan Morgan. By David Bonilla

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah unveiled his fourth and final mock draft, projecting the San Francisco 49ers to select Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the No. 31 overall pick. While many anticipated the 49ers bolstering their offensive line in the first round, Jeremiah's choice may raise eyebrows. However, with seven offensive tackles already off the board, he opted to provide third-year quarterback Brock Purdy with another explosive target. "This is my favorite fit in the first round," Jeremiah explained. "We saw what Tank Dell did in a similar offensive system with Houston, and we know what Mike McDaniel has been able to build with so much

By David Bonilla
Apr 16

With only nine days remaining until the start of the 2024 NFL Draft, Good Morning Football's Peter Schrager revealed his first mock draft of the year. While most might expect the San Francisco 49ers to target an offensive lineman, Schrager has the team bolstering its wide receiver corps with an SEC talent. Schrager has the 49ers using the No. 31 overall pick to select former Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey, whose 2023 campaign with the Bulldogs was limited by back and ankle injuries. "McConkey in the first round? Yes," Schrager wrote. "Above guys like Troy Franklin and Keon Coleman? Perhaps. I've spoken to a
