LOL, Joe is crazy.

What Montana says is true, but I think you have to look at the upside. Inspite of Dan Devine, Montana had the it factor and just needed to be made more consistent. He made big plays.

Clausen has learned from Weiss almost everything that can be taught. Does he have upside? The other thing is that everyone is afraid of what happened with Quinn, though clausen is more talented.

The thing about QBs that you need to ask, is: are they a system QB, have they learned all they can learn already from a respectable coach w/ a pro background, if you took him away from that team could another step in his place without missing a too much of a beat because the team is alround talented. Or will they become 1/2 the team they are?

Dan Marino for example made the offense go for Pitt, although pitt did have a good D. Niners would have taken him if Montana was not on the team.

Aaron Rodgers had atittude

Just one Domer sticking up for another, FWIW, Dilfer also said much to same, Dilfer liked Jimmy better than Sam.

Anyway, I much more interested in Regis's opinion, he is a Domer as well
