MadDog Pre-Combine 2017 NFL Draft Projection First 100 Picks

Greetings to all! Very excited to see the combine starting next week. Many of the mysteries of the draft will be revealed in this short window of time. This is my projection coming into the combine for where I believe the top 100 picks will fall. This is not a mock draft, although there will surely be some hits. Trades impact draft positioning. This is more of a ballpark projection board. This is also not a grading or ranking of players. I will post that later in the game. This is simply a draft projection. As always in a first swing, I will make silly mistakes (I just checked and saw Pat Elflein of OSU playing CB on my Excel spreadsheet...now that would be fun to watch). See some needed corrections (I think I have D'Onta spelled correctly), let me know.

if it's not a mock then why is Mitch and Watson 1 and 3? They're not even top 10 talents.

I'm surprised you got Trubisky ahead of Garrett.

I think he believes a QB will go one end of the day...wouldn't be shocked but Myles might be to good to pass up if your the Browns

I'm obviously not inside MD's head, but I think this Brown's regime would jump at the chance to trade the #1 pick for a draft haul (statistically it's the right play, and they seem pretty intent on following the algorithm in the their draft strategy).

So basically the question is if someone would trade up to #1 to take a QB (or if the Browns would take one). QBs always get overvalued, so that really wouldn't be surprising.

People say this is a weak QB class at the top, but is it any weaker than last year when Goff and Wentz went #1 and #2?

Yeah the QB's start to get the hype once the combine starts and Gruden has his camp, it's like marketing and PR pushing them up in prominence.
Are you yourself high on Mike Williams or just see him going around there? It worries me that he struggles to get route separation on a collegiate level. He's also not very creative with his routes like Davis or Ross.

Some interesting slottings, MD. Don't want to nitpick too much (yet ), but small note: Isaiah Ford should be Virginia Tech instead of Clemson.

It's a draft projection

what's the difference?
The GREAT news is all 5 qb's are going to throw at the combine. I believe this to be unprecedented in recent history. If ONE or TWO QB's can stand out the value of the second pick will sky rocket. If NO qb stands out all trade down scenarios are irrelevant

Yeah I'm hoping they light up the combine enough where teams get intrigued but not so much that Kyle wants one of them lol.

lol just trying to understand why someone would take the time to put this list together that makes no sense. If it's not a mock and it's not a talent ranking then wtf is it?

Mitch isn't the best talent so it's a guess based on Cleveland needing a QB why he's at #1?
Watson isn't the 3rd best talent so it's a guess based on Chicago needing a QB?
Cleveland also has the #12 pick and there's another QB in that spot?
