SF_Warrior mock draft 2.0

1.Round: Jaylon Smith, ILB, Notre Dame

He is a greased up athlete with natural twitch and flexibility, showing balance, burst and excellent speed in pursuit. Scouts are enthralled with Smith's explosiveness and it isn't difficult to understand why.
He reads plays quickly and keeps his eyes glued on the ball to collect himself in space and burst toward the ballcarrier with excellent closing speed. Shows tremendous secondary quickness to unhook himself from blocks and make up ground in a flash.
He might be the nation's most forceful tackler, generating incredible power to knock ballcarriers back. Smith is every bit as fast and fluid as he is powerful, however, slipping by (or leaping over) would-be blockers in the running game and dropping effectively in coverage.
It is the ability to play back in coverage and rush the passer that makes Smith such an exciting prospect, as proponents of the 4-3 and 3-4, alike, will see him as a true three down defender.

2.Round: Jack Conklin,OT, Michigan State

Conklin is well-built with excellent core strength, using his powerful upper body and center of gravity to be a mauler in the run game. He lines up with a firm anchor and rarely plays in reverse with quick eyes and smarts to pick up extra blockers. Very quick-minded and never takes a play off.

3.Round: De'Runnya Wilson,WR, Mississippi State

Size stands out immediately. Not only tall, but big with long arms. Can box out defenders on cross and comeback routes. Good body control and strong hands to make tough catches look easy.

4.Round: Maurice Canady,CB, Virginia

He has ideal height and length for the position with the coordinated athleticism to shadow receivers at all levels of the field. Canady accelerates well to smoothly change directions. Canady plays with nonstop competitiveness and shows a keen awareness vs. the run.

4.Round (Projected compensatory selection): Joshua Garnett,OG, Standord

Physically, Garnett has the look of a Coke machine with limbs. His stout core and long arms make him a intimidating interior blocker, whose girth can overwhelm defenders. He has enough quickness to pull and block at the second level. When Garnett does reach his intended target, however, it's often a win for the Cardinal as he has strong mitts to latch onto opponents and looks to pancake them.

5.Round: Kyler Fackrell,OLB, Utah State

Fackrell is a smooth athlete for the position and is asked to be space player for the Utah State hybrid 3-4 base defense, dropping in coverage and rushing the passer. He needs to improve his ball instincts and point of attack strength, but has the range and versatile skillset to be a mid-round draft pick if he stays healthy as a senior.

5.Round (San Diego pick acquired from 2015 draft trade-back ): Kevin Hogan,QB, Stanford

Hogan passes the eye test with a broad-shouldered, well-built frame for the position. Instincts, accuracy and velocity are enough to overcome the quirky delivery.
Hogan has good (but not great) accuracy to all levels with especially impressive touch on deep passes when he has the room to step into his throw. While accuracy is a concern, arm strength is not. Hogan has a rifle.
Hogan has been well protected by the elite talent blocking in front of him but when pressure does force him off his spot, he is willing to step up in the pocket, exhibiting poise, toughness and quick decision-making to either throw or run. Hogan intrigued with his accuracy when on the move as a senior, including the ability to roll out and throwing back against the grain. Like Andrew Luck before him, Hogan is faster (and stronger) than he looks, making him a formidable threat on the run.
Stanford's scheme calls for lots of play-action, boots and throwing on the move and deep shots - staples of a pro-style offense that suit Hogan's athleticism and strong arm well.

5.Round (Projected compensatory selection): Nile Lawrence-Stample, DT, Florida State

Began season as starting nose tackle before suffering a pectoral muscle injury against Clemson...finished the game against the Tigers…was expected to be done for the season with the injury, but returned to practice in the weeks leading up to the Rose Bowl…played several series against Oregon, recording one tackle and blocking an extra point in the third quarter…appeared in four games with two starts…finished with 10 tackles, including a half-tackle for loss versus Clemson.

6.Round: D.J. Foster, WR, Arizona State

Whether at receiver or running back, Foster's athleticism is the first thing that stands out. He's a fluid runner with impressive lateral agility, balance and stop-start quickness to avoid would-be tacklers and squirt through gaps. Foster lowers his shoulder on contact and keeps his legs driving to pick up whatever extra yardage hey can with his frame. He possesses soft hands and good hand-eye coordination to pluck and secure the football in one smooth motion.

6.Round (Dallas pick acquired from 2015 draft trade-back): Rushel Shell,RB, West Virginia

He doesn't offer much make-you-miss burst, but he gets north-south quickly and runs with an aggressive style, leaning and lowering his pads to continue pushing forward. Shell is patient and does a great job resetting his eyes on the move, using balance and an extra gear at the second level to run away from linebackers.

6.Round (Projected compensatory selection): Jordan Lucas, Safety, Penn State

A former wideout, Lucas does a nice job with his footwork to mirror receivers and anticipate routes, using his eyes to read the quarterback and break quickly on the ball. He loves contact downhill, attacking without hesitation and striking like a much bigger man. Lucas has the confidence and aggressive demeanor that are excellent building blocks for NFL coaches.

7.Round: Matt Ioannidis,DT, Temple

The Owls line Ioannidis up outside and inside, including at nose tackle on passing downs to take advantage of his non-stop hustle and initial momentum to attack blocks, forcing his way into the backfield.

Decent draft but Josh Garrnett is a first round talent that will be drafted in the second. The 4th is wayyyy low for him.
Damn bro I feel like I made this mock in my phone already lol! Great work I could see this and would agree if it happened...plus I thought I was the only one that knew about De'Runnya Wilson,WR, Mississippi State he is a sleeper, however I see him falling to the 4th but if we get him in the 3rdd love it! Great work...would like to see your other off-season moves that would con_inside with this draft!
Good work future G.M. of the year

I like him too, and i think he could be a steal. But at this point he is projected to be a 3-5 round pick.

Sorry, can't endorse any mock that doesn't take Jared Goff in the 1st, is that simple. And definitely not Hogan.
