Rd 1. If Gurley falls to where we can move up by giving up a third rd pick, then make the move because he's a true stud, with "best in league" potential. If not, lael Collins will likely be a pro bowl player.
Rd 2. Paul Dawson has instant diagnosis; he will be a defensive leader in a couple years. Future pro bowler once he rounds out a couple shortcomings.
Rd 3. Gone for Gurley. If not, Alex Carter cb, is a player loaded with ability that is suited for nfl play. No one is talking about Carter, but he's up there with the top guys when you project to nfl play. Won't be surprised if he's a pro bowler someday.
Rd 4. Davis tull is just as talented as Aaron lynch, and we need that guy because aldon is no guarantee for 16 games; knucklehead factor.
Ben heeney brings the heat at ilb like a steady, productive pro. We don't know what bowman will be in 2015. Massive need at ilb for a couple guys who are ready to roll; Dawson and heeney are those guys.
Tull is an under-the-radar freak with a motor.
Rd 5. Tyler davison, dt from Fresno is powerful. He's got big, meaty hips, and uses that power in a very active way one-on-one. He's hard to deal with, when paired with good linemates.
Rd 6. Jj Nelson, situational super speed wr/return man. If we can get this guy built up to 170+, he may survive and thrive.
Rd 7. Matt Jones, rb. Very good backup material for us.

If we're going to take a late round pick on a WR then I'd rather have a big physical freak like Conley or Smelter. We already have enough return guys: Ellington, Hyde, Bush, Holliday, the Rugby guy, Patton etc. No reason to waste another roster spot on a special teams only kind of guy.

Your missing our comp picks in the 4th round and 7th round.
If we retain our #3 pick and we havn't drafted one yet I would go for DE Henry Anderson
I would replace your 6th and 7th round picks as well
A RB drafted would be 5th on the dpeth chart if we draft one earlier and a WR taken would be 6th. If we draft a WR it should be someone with a big upside like a Chris Conley or one of the earlier studs if they fall to us like Parker in the 1st rd or DGB in the 2nd rd.

Given the needs Baalke has to address, trading up to get a RB isn't a wise move. Plenty of good ones in this draft. If he's looking for a real stud, try DL Eddie Goldman. He's a guy who will be the one to tie up 2 blockers on virtually every play...and still be able to play DT in the hybrid. Once Justin leaves, Tomsula will have no more stars on his DL...EG will be the next one.
Dawson's a baller and would be a welcome addition to the ILB corps. Another possibility: Baalke really likes TE Clive Walford. He knows this may well be Vernon's last year in SF...so why not draft his successor now. Dude's a playmaker and can block. He really fits.
Carter would bring some size and toughness to the secondary. Come on in.
Not keen on spending a draft pick for a KR...Tomsula has enough options now. OL would be fine.
Like Matt Jones, but he's not a 7th rd pick. More like 5th or 6th rd.

Ah football, the only way one man can talk about another man's hips and not have his sexuality questioned lol.

I'm ok with picking Gurley but I think he's been steadily moving up the draft charts and making a late surge. I have an odd feeling that Gurley goes to the Rams at #10. It's been a LONG time since they've had a quality RB. He'll be brought in to take some pressure off Foles.
If it's not the Rams, I think another team makes a surprise move up to get him (Dallas or Arizona). Just don't think it will be the Niners tho.

hate it... SF is not moving up for a RB coming off a ACL to spits carries with a 2nd year RB, who's good in his own right.
I see Carter turning into a safety in the NFL
