Why would Josh McDaniels become the OC under Jim Tomsula? He is already the OC with a coach he has worked with for years....plus NE can refuse a interview because it's for his current job, not a head coaching job.

draft is ehhh...we have Ian Williams, Dorsey, Dial at NT
Jalen strong and Alvin Dupree won't be there in the 2nd and 3rd
If we are drafting any DL this year in the first he is replacing Justin Smith. Ian Williams is a fine NT, Quinton Dial hasn't been bad there either and Glenn Dorsey will probably slide over to DE next year to fill Ray Mac's spot. Then you have Tank, Jerod-Eddie and the rook battle for Cowboy's vacant spot.

McDaniels going from one OC job to another one? He has arguably one of the greatest QBs and one of the greatest HC ever to work with or he can come to nicer weather to work with a questionable QB and a 1st year coach. Draft was good a little bit of a reach but this far out some players will move up and others shall fall.

Far too early in the process to know where his value will sit.

If they hire Tomsula I don't see any big name big time OC's working under him. I think they would all think they are more qualified. It's gonna have to be an up and comer.if Tomsula is the HC.

Williams and Dorsey coming off major injuries. And dorsey is solid DE but he's no Cowboy. They will need and top end draft pick of free agent to replace him. Dial isn't a NT and could rotate with Dorsey at DE. But dial hasn't proven he's starter material. Tank is a total question mark, and TJE is purely a back up. If Cowboy retires the entire d line roster is unproven with 2 solid guys coming back from injury. That's a concern.

Guaranteed both are 1st round draft picks and if not gone within the first few picks in the second
McDaniels will not leave NE to be our OC. Strong unless he runs a 4.7 at the combine or gets hurt or smokes some weed will be a first rounder. I don't know if Shelton is really a good value pick and whether DT/NT is really a main position of need

Stopped reading at Josh McDaniels as OC. Lost any credibility there.
You're missing a bigger need...and that's DE. Ray Mac's gone and Justin Smith may well be, too. Dorsey will be back...and IMHO, he did a very good job last year at NT. We missed his consistency this season. The guy to get is Leonard Williams...he's easily the best DE/DT in this draft. Period.

You are right. This would also require us to move into the top 3. He's the guy to get, but at what cost?
I like your mock overall, but do not like your coaching choices! McDaniels is a bit of a whiner--good offensive mind though, and Tomsula would likely be an insult to Fangio.
