Kiper's updated Mock

1A Trent Williams
1b Earl Thomas

I would be very happy with this draft. He addresses and drafts for needs and BPA all in one IMO
That means that Goldson will move down to SS and Thomas will be the FS.

More coverage at FS and more hitting at SS.

Except.........you forget this is "Darth Helmet's" mock draft. Never based in reality.
I would ask for a link, but of course it requires access to ESPN Insider.

no Iupati in rd 1, no Hughes, in rd 1. And he has us at 16 not 17.

Umm, that means we will be undersized at FS and SS. No thanks. Plus, Goldson has never played strong safety in his life. People act as if it's so easy to switch. Since Goldson is comfortable and improving at FS, why move him?

He seems higher on Hernandez than anyone I've seen.

Because SS plays closer to the line
and Goldsons play didn't really improve until... He was moved closer to the line

it's not a coincedence that all of a sudden he is playing better

People have guards ranked all over the place. I've seen Iupati anywhere from the middle of the 1st to the beginning of the 2nd.

As far as the draft order goes, TN and Carolina are currently tied at 16/17 and a coin flip will determine the draft order. We could end up at 17 or we could be 16.
I think this is his best mock in years. Of course ti won't play out that way but it's alright

Thanks AB... There are more than a few surprises on the list. Seattle not taking either a OL or QB is unexpected..

I went looking for more info on Ducasse...plays both G and ROT. Looks like a solid second rounder. If we went Spiller and Williams in the first, would Ducasse be a good pick in the second or we wait for another OG in the later rounds?

Still, nice frickin' list of OGs!

i like him too.

Funny they have No college listed for Duccasse.

I wouldnt mind him in rd 2.
I actually am not tooo high on Earl Thomas. Great hands and instincts, yet undersized and not really strong and not much help in the run game. Bigger recievers will who have good QBs will toast him. In college, he got a bunch of INTs, but in the pros, I think he'll be a bust(at 17, I'd think he should go in the 30s). Williams I like, yet I thought he might drop to our 2nd first (#17). He had an okay season at LT, so i doubt many teams looking for a franchise LT take him. We need an RT, where he dominated last year. I think he fall in the draft.
