Yup thats it. There is only one weight division, 135 lb women… and yet still infinitely more entertaining than boxing

That's awesome. One of my trainers comes from a taekowndo background, he's great he's taught me some great things. Must be nice to grow from a boxing background your dad must have shared some great knowledge with you

Yah I use to box when I was 14-16 years old, it was all fun and all but I always had the feeling of throwing a kick I hated being restricted to just punches. It's not really a knock towards boxing I'm just saying it wasn't for me. My dad would always give me advice and training at home never in the gym, I was always coached by someone else. My dad concentrated on coaching my older brother, which didn't turn out to be much of a boxer either lol all he does is Surf now.
But yah boxing was a big thing growing up my family were huge Dela Hoya and Sugar Ray Leonard fans. I even met Sugar Ray once cool soft spoken guy, maybe because he was old already lol.
Taekwondo and Kick Boxing was a big faze in Hawaii, I remember every thing in Hawaii and I mean EVERYTHING was Kick Boxing. Now everything is Jiu Jitsu and MMA, the only one that is keeping boxing alive in Hawaii is Brian Viloria, everyone is hoping for him to be the next Manny Pacuiao but whatever. Lol

As much as I dislike Conor Mcgregor, he boosted MMA and the UFC even more. You see exciting fighters like this pop up every so often in MMA or the UFC, you just don't get a boxer this exciting (not named Pacquiao or Mayweather) where he makes you wanna watch boxing.

Boxing's "FIGHT OF THE CENTURY" was a 12 round snooze fest. I'm sure a lot of us saw that coming, I know I did. But I mean, C'MON!
