I'm willing to bet he stands a little and try to at least faze Condit with his KO power then use his wrestling like you said. But Condit is good kicking too so he may try to use that to keep the distance. Honestly, I see Woodley coming out on top and fighting the winner of Hendricks vs. Lawler.

He'd be smart to not even attempt to mess with Carlos on the feet, and to use his strongest skill which we all know is his wrestling. But I suspect you will be right Kolohe and he will try and trade at first. I don't understand why the UFC gave into TW and made this fight...fans would rather see Condit vs the winner of Hendricks/Lawler and it would sell better than a Woodley title fight would right now, it just isn't smart business IMO.

Don't get me wrong I would love to see Woodley vs Hendricks/Lawler winner and Woodley vs Condit but I just think the UFC should be giving Condit a more winnable fight to try and get the biggest title fights possible with the GSP cash cow on hiatus.

whats condit supposed to do, just keep waiting? he had a fight scheduled for dec 8th that got cancelled, the hendricks/lawler fight is in march. that would put condit out until the summer time or somewhere around then. they did the right thing throw condit and woodley on the same card and see all of the top tier welterweights go at it. i for one would rather see condit fight a guy coming off of a win (woodley) than fight a guy coming off of a loss (mcdonald or ellenberger)

I blame the UFC not Condit. As for potential (safer) opponent they could have thrown him (who are coming off a win), I'd say Shields (they could pull him from the Lombard matchup) who has won his last 2 fights. That would leave Woodley and Lombard without fights, but they could plug in DHK and Ellenberger as opponents for both those guys. I know the Shields matchup is a lot less desirable, but they are handing Gus a fight vs Jimi Manuwa after his loss to Bones when they could have thrown Gus a tougher fight (DC in the US, Evans or Phil Davis who has a W over Gus). And who exactly wants to see Shields back in a title fight given his recent performances ? Might as well let Carlos eat up his streak and attempt to squash Jake from the conversation.

the real fight to make is woodley vs mcdonald. woodley said if rory didnt want to fight gsp he needs to get out of the way at the pre-fight presser in november. rory responded on canadian tv saying woodley isnt talented enough to challenge for a title anyways and that it was all moot. 2 days later woodley KO's koscheck and rory lost to lawler. no idea why they didnt do the fight. maybe they werent aware of mcdonalds comments regarding woodley as it only aired on canadian tv.

I think it's a case of trying to protect Rory. He could be the next great Canadian fighter (if he stops using the GSP gameplan) and they want (maybe even need) a top Canadian fighter given how well they draw north of the border.

I'd like to see Woodley built up (and earn) a title shot, let him string at least 3 wins together (which is why I like the DHK fight for him, someone he can KTFO in brutal fashion ). I think much like Hendricks, Woodley can be built as a scary challenger given his elite wrestling coupled with the vicious KO power he posseses...could help his drawing power and they will need to try harder to market fights and fighters now to sell those PPV's without Georges.

Hendricks vs. Woodley would be an awesome fight ending with a spectacular KO.

I think Dana White should've made Woodley vs. Jake Shields 2, before Woodley getting a top 4 contender spot. If anything Shields deserves it much more than Woodley, coming off two good wins of Woodley and Maia.
not sure if i should first row the fight or order it.

Woodley got a lot of eyes put on him with that last fight. IMO any combination among those 4 guys will be a big draw.

the match makers reward the finishers and put them into position where they can become contenders, and put the point fighters in tough matchups.... IMO at least.

vipbox.tv been working a lot better than first row lately..... for me at least.

but this is a card worth buying..... inviting friends over to throw in $5-10 bucks............. then keep the left over (if any) beer and snacks.

I know right!!

Aside from the Weidman/Silva fight, I'm looking forward to Leben/Hall, Barnett/Browne and Siver/Gamburyan. Overall pretty decent card, a lot of KO artist on it.
