My older brother is amazing
He retired from a career in building and got back into his surfing
He's 67 and just got his first short board
He lives in WA and occasionaly surfs Margaret river, but he lives a bit south of there
He goes out 3 times a week
He has inspired me to get back into it I just bought a new short board (been 32 years since the last purchase)
My youngest daughter has shown some interest also 12yo

Sharks?
I saw crocodiles in Costa Rica being removed from the ocean before hitting some waves.

Surfed a brand new high performance DHD board at our local point break last weekend
When I got home and looked closely I noticed a lot of deck depressions around my back foot area
The people that sold me the board wanted to throw in a deck grip pad
I said it would feel weird and opted for some other goodies
I think they knew I was heavy footed lol
You can see my heel print (left side as I am a natural footer) and toes to the right
Got some decent waves and do surf pretty hard but sheesh dont make em like they used to

Congrats to Hawian Sebastian Zietz
Just won the Aus Margaret river pro after coming in as a wildcard following injury to someone else
Can.t work out how they break so many boards?
