Cubs don't need that anyway. They have quite a few guys on that team that will be considered elite VERY soon.

They also had 3 teams in the playoffs and will have 3 more next year.
A 25-6 start is a mighty fine way to begin the path to redeeming last year's disappointment.

Not at all.

Actual Cubs fans know the past 60 years have had less to do with a curse and more to do with how horrifically bad our management and ownership were. They knew they had a sold out stadium day in and day out so there was no real incentive to build a team. The farm system stayed dry, the best players were always allowed to leave while we kept one or two here and there. Constantly made one splash move as an appeasement for the fan base and sat on it until they were washed up.

Epstein has brought a plan and had the rope to carry it out. That's mainly because of the Ricketts family. The former bleacher bums who bought the team and not only transformed the model, but transformed the mindset. The Cubs are going to be good for a very very long time.

We'll see. Theyre set up nicely, but theyve had great teams in the past that didnt get it done, and fell apart over time.
Hey cubby fans what happened to Jake just now? He's allowed 2 runs to the terrible D-backs early on. Must've recently got off the Roids.

More roids talk because a guy is successful.

This. Epstein has been a godsend. Our rotation from 1-5 is the best in the game and we all know how important that becomes in October. There are also no easy outs in the lineup and although I would've loved to win it all last year, I knew and understood we were ahead of schedule. That was a great learning experience for our young team and we have come out this year and clearly built off of our success last year. I tend to keep my emotions regulated regarding the Cubs but have become a lot more confident because of Epstein's history and obviously the present results.
