Now, Manly, due their success, is one of the most hated sides in the comp. However, when we merged with the Bears following the Super League war, a lot of the people who hated us, missed someone to hate!. So when the Shotgun marriage was over, and we had the divorce with the bears, we became the Manly Sea Eagles again, giving a lot of NRL Fans someone to hate again!!!!

The 'Hatred' of the Manly Sea Eagles was started by Roy Masters in 1978, the Coach of the Western Suburbs Magpies, who coined the phrase "Silvertails" against his "Fibros" and developed the start of physical violence towards the Manly Side. Well you couldn't have chosen a better one. Manly is easily the most hated team in the league already anyway. I see your status as a doctor is well deserved.

Would love to hear your thoughts after watching a few of the NRL finals games which have commenced this weekend.
