gotta disagree big time here. if you dont have the ring you dont mean a thing. people think a lot less of the bills because they didnt win. bottom line is any team with sustained success who doesnt cash in with a ring will always be thought less of in any sport.

You cant have it both ways.

Either the Kings played incredible hockey, and fought back by overturning the momentum of the series, or the Sharks choked, and gave away the series because they fold under pressure.

Youre contradicting points otherwise. The Sharks either choked, or the Kings were incredible. Which is it?

Keep drawing up false dilemmas. You'll feel better about yourself eventually.

You still havent answered the question.

Its a false dilemma. Maybe you need to google that phrase because the answer to your "question" lies within it.

lol you dont want to answer because then you cant have it both ways. You want the Sharks to be chokers, AND the Kings to be awesome. By definition, if the Sharks did not choke, the Kings are out in the 1st round, and forgotten.

You can keep calling it a false dilemma, but it doesnt make any sense to claim both sides.

Answer it this way then. What if the Sharks had not "choked"?

You dont think the Braves wouldve been remembered as a good team just for winning an MLB record 11 consecutive division titles? Honestly that 1 ring doesnt really seem to bail them out of how theyre remembered. They won in 1995, and still get the Bills treatment, because people cant believe how you can get that many chances and only win once.

IMO it just means they dont get remembered as a dynasty. You cant really argue that they werent a great team in that era either way. You can just tell Braves fans the 1995 WS has an asterisk because it was a strike shortened season. lol

i dont think anybody cares about teams with division titles, they just dont. you either win or your dont. this is like the seahawks in the 2000's talking about divisional titles, nobody gives a s**t. that 1 title the braves have enables their fans to tune out all of the stuff other people want to say about them. whether what they're saying is true or not doesnt matter, they'll just point to their ring that they have. if you lack that ring but have loads of divisional titles you have nothing to point to when people are going to pile on. aka the current san jose sharks.

The Kings played great and deserved to win. The Sharks blew a 3-0 game lead and that's a choke. Both of those are true.

Your team lost. At least try to show some maturity & class about it.

You can have it both ways. The kings raised their level of play once they were down. In fact game 3 was the turning point. Kings started playing way better, and they went to overtime were they looked dominant. Sharks literally had 1 shot on goal, unfortunately for the Kings, it was a goal. Game 4 came around and the Kings continued to play at a high level. Sharks couldn't keep up. Then Quick shut the Sharks down. At this point the Sharks were scared and everyone started to say will it happen. Sharks just got blown out. Sharks lack that killer instinct, that next level of intensity that you saw in the epic Chicago vs LA series. Joe Thornton plays scared in big games. I remember times in the series he had clear grade A looks that he passed up. When Doughty called out the Sharks, he was talking about Thornton, no doubt.

Kings turned it up, and the Sharks choked. It wasn't that they lost 4 straight, it's that they were blown out 4 straight, after blowing the kings out of the water games 1 and 2, then taking game 3.

So anytime in sports that one team raises their level of play, and the other team cant keep up, the losing team "choked"? I thought that was called being outplayed..

Basically it's both.
Choke= San Jose Sharks= big lead and lose
Clutch= Los Angeles Kings= great under extreme pressure

I've seen that billboard often out here in So Cal, Dunno if Trey Parker or Matt Stone gave the green light to advertise this ad since i know they are Colorado Natives makes more sense them being Avalanche fans rather then LA fans, maybe they jumped ship?
