The way I see it is, every SP not named Bumgarner should have a a short leash in the playoffs. To me that would be the way to manage this bi-polar staff, as they all are prone to being really really good, or really really bad.
I was at the game on Friday night, and from the first hitter everybody was hitting the ball on the screws against Hudson. IMO he should not have had an at bat but he did. I was hoping Lincy would have replaced him a lot earlier, it was moot anyway because our hitters too are extremely bi-polar this season.
On second thought, everyone should have a short leash in the post season. The Giants are not experiencing normal major league slumps this year, when anyone goes into a slump it is a long and excruciating one. If Bochy gives too much slack I think we are done. Our only shot, slim as it may be, even Bochy can somehow work magic with the lineup card and sub sooner rather than later

I honestly believe their rotation can be pretty solid in the playoffs. Bums our ace, Peavy is pitching well and try to slot Petit for the home games. Our 4th starter i have no idea but i believe Vogey has been pitching better then Hudson.

At this point we just have to pray the team can get into a 5 game series.

We have as legit of shot as any with Bum. But I doubt we make it past the NLDS unless we can get healthy and start playing well

Even with Bum it will be tough winning in Pittsburgh. They are tied for the best record in the NL at home and beat up Bum pretty hard in his one start there. The way our offense looks right now I dont like our chances but you never know.

Can we please get a Cuban
Daniel Carbonell doe
Cept Carbonell was like the 25th best Cuban, and Tomas is the top prize available. Its rumored he will cost 100 mil.
I was listening to the MLB channel today on XM and a guy who knows the Cuban market said Tomas is the last great Cuban player for awhile. I think the Giants should go all in for the guy. Why? Because he can be a difference maker, there is no one in free agency that is worth the money, and the Giants have nothing in their minor league system that can come up and be a middle of the order bat. He is 23 years old and said to be a middle of the order bat for sure.
What would it mean? Obviously it would mean not signing Panda and probably not Morse.. But, I'm OK with that. Does anyone really believe that Sandoval is a difference maker? Or is he really just a pretty good player that isnt anything special?
By not signing Pablo to a big deal and having Hudson and Timmy come off the books after next year the Giants can make the investment.
I know moving Posey to 3rd is something that is a huge debate but the Giants with this lineup..
1) Pagan CF
2) Panik 2B
3) Posey 3B
4) Tomas LF
5) Pence RF
6) Belt 1B
7) Susac C
8) Crawford ss
Sometimes you just have to take a major gamble and investment. Pretty sure the White Sox are happy they did it with Abreu.

Can we please get one of these beastly cuban players. If Sabean isn't going to go all in what's the point of trying? If the Giants don't another team will.

We aren't mathematically eliminated so yes there is a chance at the division

Slim and none. And Slim's out of town. Somehow I dont see the Giants sweeping LA and beating both Kershaw and Greinke when they could have easily been shutout 3 straight games in SD.

+1 just once it would be nice to see us make a big international signing.
