The team that really messed up in that draft was Tampa Bay. They could have taken the best player in the draft and a Florida college star with the #1 pick. Instead they took Tim Beckham who has never made it. It was actually a pretty weak first round and if it was done over the first 2 picks would be Posey and Hosmer.

It didnt say they almost picked him, the Giants just didnt know who they would take.
