What kind of statement is that? Maddux is the one guy on the list who should be unanimous . Anyone who doesnt vote for him should be eliminated in the future from having a vote.

Has to be something he has against Maddux. Makes 0 sense how he isn't a 100% first ballot HOFer.

He says he wont vote for any guy that played in the steroid era, thats his reasoning

Maddux's case should be stronger because of what he did in the steroid era. He didnt throw in the mid 90s or suddenly get some huge spike. Instead, he had to face hitters who were on roids and putting up stupid numbers. This voter is a moron.

Ken Gurnick just told us on "Inside
Pitch" this year's ballot was his last
as a HOF voter; he'll abstain rather
than cast blank ballots

good. if that's who he wants for, he should be able to. just because he covers the giants doesn't mean he has to vote for all SF players. these guys aren't fans of the teams, they just cover them.

I'd be annoyed if the cards beat writer was biased towards STL players as well

voting for Kent but not Bonds is absurd. His numbers are a direct result of having Bonds as a teammate

Based on the numbers they really both deserve to be in. Whether you like Kent or not he is one of the best power hitting 2B of all time. However, I doubt either get in the HOF.

The HOF needs to changes its rules. Just make note that these players played in the steroid era, but guys like Bonds and Clemens should be in the HOF

To me there is a difference between guys who were HOF players before without roids and players who became HOF candidates BECAUSE of roids.

Great players that should be in:
Bonds
Clemens

Players that only became great cuz of roids and should never get in
McGwire
Sosa
Palmeiro
