Little pics. LOL. I dont think any team is excited about paying Cruz a huge salary AND giving up a #1 pick for him. I really believe he goes back to Texas

Grant Balfour to Orioles
The Orioles have agreed to a two-year, $14MM deal with Grant Balfour, according to Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com (via Twitter).
What I dont understand is why the A's traded for Johnson who will get 10M for 1 year rather than sign Balfour to a deal like this. I'd rather have Balfour myself.
I agree
Balfour could be annoying since he'd let a guy on base a lot but he was still so clutch, he was one of my favorite A's

lol that poll was a joke. Clearly Joey Votto isnt the face of MLB. Hes not even a household name outside the state of Ohio.
If by "face of MLB" they mean a combo of biggest name/best player/best public image, itd have to be someone like David Ortiz or Miguel Cabrera. It almost has to be an east coast player on a winning team.

They really had not had a face since Griffey Jr (Jeter?), and no video game sport covers don't count.
Seems like "the face" is more regional than national.

Here's a much more bigger picture of the bracket due to the smallish version.
Let's see how far this goes and ridicule as it moves along. I believe the voting and fan reasoning is on Facebook and Twitter.

That larger picture of the bracket was so much more insightful.

Think the Brew Crew fans have gravitated towards Carlos Gomez as their "face of the franchise" after all what happened last season?
The only teams that may have a "face of the franchise" crisis are:
Padres (their supposed face has been under numerous trade talk discussions)
Astros

There are several teams where there is no clear cut "face of the franchsie"
Cubs
A's
White Sox (unless you want to count an old Paul Konerko)
Padres
Astros
Indians

Can't have a face of your franchise when you trade your players every 5 years

Choo is good but he isnt THAT good to be turning down 140 million dollar deals. The guy has never even made an All Star team.
