I watched two games yesterday, ECU 55 - NC 31 and Georgia 44 - LSU 41. Noticed a lot of games yesterday having point totals of 70 and up, the USC game went over a 100! No one seems to play defense any more. 3 and out's seem to happen one or twice a game if at all. I know a lot of fans find high scoring games exciting, I am not one of them. For those in the know, what causes the lack of defense? I doubt every college d-coordinator is inept or the best athletes all want to play offense. What gives?

I want to see both teams play good defense, I think the 10-7 game has gone the way of the dinosaur.
