I hate those stupid stats. Kobe came into the league at 18 years old. Of course he is gonna be one of the youngest to have those numbers. I really wish they would use games played as a barometer instead of age
Kobe's not the only player in nba history to enter the league at age 18. And you really wish they would skew it to whatever way you'd prefer so Kobe wasn't at the top of a list of all time greats. Like it says, haters gonna hate. lol
Kobe has played in 1245
Wilt 1045
Malone 1192
Jordan 930
Thats all im saying, Good for Kobe for being in the league long enough to get those numbers, i just hate when they use age as the barometer for these stats. Games played in my opinion is a better way to measure these things

Hmm...but you can make the argument other way too. It takes couple of years for high-school players to figure s**t out (not just on the court but also off the court) because they skipped college and jumped straight to pros whereas those players you mentioned sort of hit the ground running when they reached pros. So...college-to-pro players were able to produce at a much higher level right away...and therefore no. of games is skewed as well.

Yeup. He started like 10 games his first two years lol.

Kobe ppg for first 2 seasons: 12ppg
MJ: 28ppg
WIlt: 38ppg
Kareem: 30.5ppg
Malone: 17.5ppg (by third season he was averaging 28 a game)
So...I don't think strictly using no. of games played makes it any fair-er - especially when Kobe started like 10 games in his first two years but played in pretty much every game for few minutes.

I know. But I'm disagreeing with you. You're saying it should be points scored by no. of games played - which is ppg. Lol...so, I listed ppg for first 164 games or so and you can see your way is just as flawed.
