I feel like 4.5 is a lot for Haslem lol
Yea...today it is - not when he re-signed this deal. He was getting much better offers - almost 6M a year.
Whats the reasoning for him being on the bench now? I listen to Dan LeBatard's show on ESPN Radio quite a bit and he even is confused why he hasn't been playing that much this season. I didn't think he had regressed that much in the last couple years.
Haslem has really struggled with his shot - and when he's not hitting that 15 footer - he's a huge liability on offense.
But, IMO - biggest reason is - Miami is consciously trying to play Bosh more at PF than ever before...to get ready for the Pacers series and for the simple fact that Bosh is a legitimate threat from the 3pt line this year. Miami can play the big line-up because they can stretch the floor with Bosh at 4. I've hated on Bosh for a long time - but this year he has gained my respect. The guy is still soft on the boards - but has improved in every other aspect. I respect guys who are willing to improve their game after playing several years in the league.
I do think we'll see Haslem against the Pacers in ECF but if Oden is healthy enough to play 15 minutes a game - Haslem may only see a couple of minutes here and there.
Beasley has been a nice surprise as well. His defense is still bad but it's improving as the season has gone on. He was great against Bulls the other night. So, at this point - Haslem is behind too many guys.
