1 more win until I can finally root against the Cards again
Bring it. The whole nation is already rooting against us.
Everyone has been all over the Dodgers nuts.
And that is why they are on CHOKE WARNING.
You're the one who said they were such big favorites.
That's based on the info I heard from the media-they were literally blowing them up from their rise from being dead to Puigmania to their pitching staff.
Gotta look past the media. Cardinals are loaded with homegrown talent. Dodgers have purchased everything and it isn't working.
Difference between the two. These Cardinals players have been playing together for YEARS...through the minors into the MLB. Chemistry. That is how you build a team.
Dodgers just pay for s**t and try and piece it together.
There you have it.
The Cards can afford to let somebody go, and they have somebody ready to take the departed place.
The Dodgers used to have such a system a long time ago, then suddenly their farm depleted.
Somebody? We let Albert Pujols (not just some random player) go and haven't missed a beat. Have the #1 farm system in baseball and it is showing now...again.
You scout, draft, and develop players and win.
The Pujols loss resulted in Beltran FAS but more importantly gave rise to Allen Craig.
When Furcal is off the books- Kozma, Descalso in the wings.
Cards have to be a model in how to continuously run a successful farm system for years without depleting the talent.
