I was hoping FSU would play Bama but I knew Bama still had a tough road. I think those are the two beat teams.
If OSU wins out tho they deserve their chance. Its truly unfair for a team that's been undefeated for two years not to go to the NCG even though I think Auburn and Misou would beat them. I hate the idea of OSU in the NCG because they choke NCGs like no other. I never wanna see OSU in another championship game again but they deserve their chance.
A playoff would really be awesome right about now

So what? They're one of the best two teams in the country.

That doesn't matter. For college football a comparison would be if the Heat lost the Eastern Conference Finals event though you felt they were one of the 2 best teams.
Winning your division in college football IS playoffs. If you can't win it, you're out.

I'd go with FSU vs. Auburn in the title game.

Agreed. This is why the BCS is flawed. If the playoff system was in place it would essentially be a safeguard for a situation where a #1-5 team beats another in-conference #1-5 team. Currently Bama is projected to play UCF. Woo. Gonna be a thriller. I think we're about to here a lot of discussion about Auburn getting the nod if they beat Mizzou.

They didnt win their division though Pete and Auburn beat them head to head. There is no way they should be in the title game ahead of Auburn.

Actually Alabama lost to LSU in 2011 during the regular season and was still voted into the NCG which they won 21-0 so conference championship isn't playoffs.

Originally posted by LA9erFan:Im with ya. I think Bama is still the best team in the country on paper they just had a horrible game. When you win 15 in a row eventually a bad one creeps in. Still Auburn has beat TAMU, Georgia, Bama, and possibly Missouri. They're a lot better then people give them credit for. That triple option offense is incredibly potent. I mean you can believe Bama is better but you can't say Bama has better wins because they don't. The eye contest is perception and perception is subjectivity. Strength of wins is much more objective. LSU and TAMU are the only signature wins Bama has. Auburns Bama and TAMU wins are better though so when you add in Missouri in the SECCG it's just not arguable.
So what? They're one of the best two teams in the country.

and that was the worst title game I can remember and the biggest reason why we needed playoffs.
I don't think 2011 has any clear winner whatsoever.

No, the #1 team in the country losing a regular season road game to the #4 team in the country is not like the Heat losing a 7 game series where everyone plays essentially the same schedule. Since this is something that's voted on rather than settled on the field, if someone (not me obviously) feels that a team is one of the best two teams in the country, it does matter.
Winning your division in the SEC is like putting the Spurs, Heat, Pacers, & Thunder in the same division and then saying that the 3 who didn't make it are out while the Buckey....errr....Mavericks play them for the title.

That's just your opinion though.
Personally that was one of my favorite. Last years was awful.
