Great Clasico! Lots of penalties but still relentless pressure on both ends.

Just watched the clásico (thank God for dvr) and it was a great game. But, as is often the case, the difference was the greatest footballer on the planet. As Ray Hudson often says, Messi was just magisterial!

Ray Hudson is the most bias analyst I've ever heard in any sport. He's not even Spanish & has no connections to Barcelona. Truly complexing.

Perplexing.
I don't disagree on Hudson, but he doesn't have to be Spanish, or be connected to Spain, to be a fan of Barcelona. He's been calling their games for 5 years, and in that time they've had the most historic club run of all time. It's hard not to have a love affair with this team. Ofcourse that period is coming to a close but even then there's still a bit of nostalgia I'm sure.

Two Champions Leagues, three Ligas, two Clubs World Cups, two European Supercups, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Supercups over 4 years. Not to mention the nucleus(Spanish NT) of Barcelona was also winning successive Euro cups, and the World Cup in between. They've broke almost every European scoring record in the process. And they did it all playing the most attractive football the world has seen.

lol this.
They did it while going against Real Madrid in La Liga. Real Madrid had the most talented roster (they still do) in the World. Pep's Barca was not just winning games and trophies - it was winning hearts of the football fans all across the World. That's why many feel - what Pep's Barca did - it will never be repeated. It wasn't just winning. They reminded folks how the game is supposed to be played and won.

...btw Mourinho left but Real Madrid continues to cry about the refs. The two penalties awarded to Barca were easy calls. Ramos claims he didn't touch Neymar even though video shows he clearly clipped Neymar and it was a clear goal scoring chance in the box. That's penalty and red card. Then Iniesta was tackled by two guys in the box - again...a clear penalty.
The only penalty that was wrongly given was to Real Madrid. Replays clearly showed that Ronaldo was tackled 6 inches outside the box and ref still awarded Madrid with a penalty. He's been crying about ref all day. Give me a break. Sore fukin' losers.
Unbelievable.

Fifa 14 would be worlds better with Ray Hudson as the announcer. FACT.
Even cynical American soccer fans would enjoy his enthusiasm. FACT.

Great run indeed but probably not even Top 5 in Club history. Bayern will end up over-jumping them in the next year. And while the ticky tacky play is more watchable than classic EPL, I prefer a combination of both in the Bundesliga. Watching a team play keep away by passing the ball back and forth gets tiresome.
Have you guys caught "the Locker Room" on beIN with Ray? In terms of match play by play & analyst, I'm never witnessed a more disrespectful and awkward job than Ray puts on. He constantly talks over and interrupts his partner. It's like watching a car crash unfold.

I know. It's frustrating to watch Barca games because he acts like the other guy is not even there. Completely in his own world. He's running out of adjective to describe Messi.
But seriously you're being ridiculous trying say Bayern will jump Barca. Bayern didn't win a single trophy for 2 season until the triple last year. Over the past 5 years they've won 5 trophies. They're national team players have been knocked out of the Euro and WC by Barcas Spanish NT players. Not even the same damn ball park. If they win the CL this year then we can talk but until then they're just a team in top form.

Even the great Sacchi said it himself that Pep's Barca was as great as his Milan if not better. Sacchi's Milan and Pep's Barca have been called the greatest teams of all time by many experts, ex-players, and coaches. lol @ not even top 5? Straight up hater talk.

I know. And then he claims Bayern will pass them this year. I mean if you don't like the way Barca plays that's fine, but Bayern has literally done nothing besides last years triple. The triple isn't a big deal anymore. Barca actually had a sextet. One thing he forgets is throughout Barcas run they've had the best goal scorer the world has seen:Lionel Messi.

Top 5 Club History
1. Early 70's Ajax: 4 Finals in 5 years (3 Titles)
2. Early 90's Milan: 5 Finals in 7 years (3 Titles
3. 50-60's Madrid: 8 Finals in 11 years (6 Titles)
4. 60-70's Liverpool: 5 Finals in 9 years (4 Titles
5. 70's Bayern: 3-Peat
6. 60's Benfica: 5 FInals in 8 years (2 Titles)
Late 90's - Early 2000's Madrid: 3 Titles in 4 years
2000's Milan: 3 Finals in 4 years (2 Titles)
60's Inter: 3 Finals in 4 years (2 Titles)
2000's Man U: 3 Finals in 4 years (1 Title)
Current Bayern: 3 Finals in 4 Years (1 Title)
Pep's Barcelona: 3 Titles in 6 years
*Bayern win this year: 4 Finals in 5 years (2 Titles)
*Bayern wins next year with Lewandowski: 5 Finals in 6 years (3 Titles)
If Munchen wins 3 straight, they will eclipse Barca in everyones eyes. Better pray for Real Madrid to stop them.
