2013 MLB Regular Season Wrapup Discussion Thread

MLB set the sixth largest attendance record in history with an excess of 74 million fans.
The Cubs apparently have a backup plan in A.J. Hinch as their next manager. To me it is just another stopgap until a big name becomes available.

At least fans are coming back....sorta....
In the aftermath of the Reds ending their season, officials weren't very happy how the season concluded. Therefore, there can be rumblings of changes coming, including looking at Dusty Baker.

TRADE BRUCE TO THE GIANTS FOR CRICK + Escobar
Let me get this straight,

In order for Joe Girardi to come back to manage the Yankees, he has to be allowed to talk to the Cubs.

Interesting proposal.

And there is chatter that the Cubs are prepared to pony up a lot of money to him that would make him one of the highest paid managers in the game.
The Phillies will be going the value route this off-season. If that is the case, what are they going to do with Roy Halladay?
