Because without him the Cardinals would still be good. McCutchen is going to win regardless.

This dude is incredible.

Very good year but wont finish in top 5 in MVP. In fact, he wont be the top Cardinal. Molina will finish top 3.

Max Scherzer

I believe he has two to three more starts to get 20 and lock up the Cy Young.

Should be Darvish. This will be a good yard stick to measure how much the voters have progressed.

Scherzer is better than Darvish in:
WAR
Quality Start %
WHIP

Darvish is slightly ahead in K's and has a better ERA.

You can dismiss wins but 19-3 with 215 Ks to 48 walks is damn impressive. I would vote for him over Darvish but this years vote would certainly not be a benchmark for how voters have progressed.
Chris Davis hits #50.

MVP clincher?

He will be lucky to get one first place vote.
Wow,

The Giants showed their mortal enemy the season is not over yet.
Big series which could determine who goes to the postseason between the Rangers and the Rays.
Rockies 1B Todd Helton decides to hang it up.

Then there's Paul Goldschmidt.

Chris Davis breaks an Orioles record for the most home runs in a single season by hitting #51. The previous record holder was held by Brady "Creatine" Anderson.

Now waiting for valrod for react.

No. But he is the player I would take if I was starting a major league team. And it isnt even close.
