Bonds is very easy to hate outside of SF

Especially in STL since he was breaking McGwire's record

Although, most fans outside of Giants fans hated him

People hated Bonds for 2 reasons. Respect for his abilities, and jealousy. You dont hate players who suck, and if Bonds had played for their team instead of SF, they wouldve LOVED him. I dont think the hate ever really even came from the PED use, because it was so common.
