Sounds like AROD will be making his season debut next week.

Too bad the Biogenesis punishments won't be enforced until next season.

lol 6th or 7th inning guy?? Considering hes been better than anyone in your pen not named Edward Mujica, youd think hed be the setup guy. If thats all the Cards view him as, he wont be going to the Cards. There are plenty of contenders looking for a closer or setup man who would pay more.

Cishek's era doesnt reflect his season. Opposing batters are hitting .212 off him. Lower than anyone in your pen besides Mujica. 1.08 WHIP, which is lower than everyone but Mujica. Plus 41 k's in 41.2 ip (8.86 K/9). Better than Mujica (7.46).

Not a chance he takes Mujica or Rosenthal's role.

Cardinals aren't going to fix something that isn't broken. We've needed a 6-7th inning guy who can hold it down IF our starters can't make it that far. Randy Choate is a lefty (one batter a night usually) and other than that we have Seth Manness (who hasn't been bad), Carlos Martinez, and newly added Fernando Salas (although he was horrible earlier this year)

So yeah, he'd fill in that role. Post all the numbers you want, but Matheny has said himself that Rosenthal and Mujica are 8/9. He has been asked about moving Rosenthal into the rotation. Chris Carpenter will be back soon to take that role.

Dunno if you just forgot about Rosenthal completely or what, but he has been one of the more dominating set up men in the game this year. He isn't going anywhere.

Cishek has better numbers than rosenthal, Probably looking to use both as the 7/8th inning guy

Like 99 said, he likely won't be coming to the Cardinals. Matheny is obsessed w/ Rosenthal in the 8th.
Names on the trade hot board are Garza and Bud Norris.

The Cubs are taking final offers on Garza. The Rangers seem to be most determined to obtain him.

Norris is seeked after by a number of teams including the Pirates,Giants,Blue Jays and Dodgers.
