12 games so far, then we'll have 8 in league. Might have one more tournament at the end of December that will be another 4 non-conference games. The most that CIF allows you to play before playoffs is 24, and we're at 20 right now, but the cost is about $100 per game so we gotta come up with $400 to get in that tournament. I've already dropped about $600 of my own bucks to get them in the first two tournaments, and just can't afford another $400.

Player asked me that once. I told him I could choose a different number if he liked. He didn't ask again.
Seriously though, it's because that's about how many you can get in in 30 minutes if you're running both a JV & Varsity squad.

We were able to hook up our squad with some new shoes and new jerseys, courtesy of WSS Shoes and Sports Chalet. ABC News was there too, but the Connecticut shooting has been dominating the coverage for obvious reasons, so the piece hasn't aired yet.
Funny thing is...somehow the ABC guy thought that we were playing without uniforms at all before this. That's what he was saying when he was recording his intro.
