Hard to believe that the Pirates are 18 games over .500 and tied with the Cards.

They are tied for the best record in baseball almost halfway through the season. Weird to think about.

Lately they've been doing this, but fade away. I dunno this year. They're looking pretty good. Cardinals need to keep winning.

If they can pry Stanton from Miami, the Cards might be in trouble. A 3-4-5 of McCutchen, Stanton, and Alvarez would be scary.

Yep. I think they may need to add a SP as well.

NL Central finish is gonna be interesting. Not counting out the Reds either.

Couldn't strike anybody out and the A's just kept fouling off pitches, not swinging at balls and waiting for a pitch they could hit.

yep. had a ridiculous pitch count. 60 after under 2IP...even if he did get out at 2-0 he wouldn't have been in too long

5-0

gotta get the bats going. still early.

now this is more like it

#STLCards catcher Yadier Molina described Adam Wainwright's curveball today as "starting in the sky and falling to the ground."

Makes me wish the NL had a DH

Waino just keeps on cruising. Have we locked him up long term yet or is this his last year

Signed him before the start of this season.

Five years/$97.5 million

Have him until he is 36. We'll likely sign him to a 2-3 year deal then to have him retire a Cardinal

Losing Pujols = Extending Wainwright, extending Molina, extending Craig signing Beltran
