Wainwright better watch out, Jason Marquis is only 1 win behind him...If he gets to 10 wins there might be a debate over who is the best pitcher in baseball...

Does he have all the CGs, Ks, ERA, WHIP, CGSHO, and many of the other stats Wainwright has?

W 46-26

Back up 20. Westbrook looked more like himself tonight. Yadi "MVP" Molina hit a bomb and threw out a few more people. Although, he did drop his AVG to .365 now

Tomorrow should be interesting. Feldman (6-5) @ Lynn (9-1)

Lynn has struggled recently and Feldman has been DECENT (for a Cubs pitcher at least) all season

I can't see this team losing back to back series, especially against lousy teams

Well..worst we can do now is tie w/ the Cubs..but we need to be sweeping these teams. Coming up we have:

vs. Texas (3)
@ Houston (2)
@ Oakland (3)
@ LA Angels (3)

Thats my point. Pitcher Wins are useless. I haven't looked at pitcher win/loss record in almost 10 years now. If Wainwright had 2 wins right now, he'd be considered just as good as he is with 10 wins. If he played for the Marlins, he'd have been just as dominant, just without the run support.

Just the very fact that a SP can pitch 7+ innings of shutout ball, leave with the game tied at 0, and then a RP can record the win for getting 1 out should have made that stat obsolete a long time ago. Lance Lynn gives up 7 er in 5 innings? Gets a win. A RP blows a 3 run lead in the 9th, game tied, walkoff HR the next inning? He earns the win. Its the most flawed stat in baseball.

They used to pick the CY winners based on it too, which is scary. Its the reason why Bartolo Colon and Barry Zito have their awards instead of Johan Santana and Pedro Martinez.

Barry Zito in 2002: 2.75 era, 1.13 whip, 182 K's in 229.1 ip.

Pedro Martinez in 2002: 2.26 era, 0.92 whip, 239 K's in 199.1 ip

Bartolo Colon in 2005: 3.48 era, 1.16 whip, 157 K's in 222.2 ip

Johan Santana in 2005: 2.87 era, 0.97 whip, 238 K's in 231.2 ip

Is Justin Smith your favorite 49er? He has to be right?

I don't think the Rangers enjoyed their last visit to Busch. Living here in Texas, people were absolutely devastated. A true thing of beauty...especially considering that no one gave the Cards a chance of winning that series. Let's hope for #12 this year.

Yes. I figured any all-pro 49er with the Anheuser Busch logo tattoed on his arm would be jrg approved.

Ugh Lyons.

Back to Memphis you go..I'd say Carlos Martinez or Joe Kelly replaces him in the rotation

Preferably Martinez
