Carmelo Anthony met with the Bulls earlier today. Now, source says he's at dinner with Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose among others right now.
I'm told Derrick Rose had to leave the dinner with Carmelo Anthony and Joakim Noah early. Tom Thibodeau also stopped by, per source.
Bulls have spent the day courting Carmelo Anthony. Their pitch is that they can dominate in depleted East and that Melo would be top option.
Source who's at dinner with Carmelo Anthony, Joakim Noah, Derrick Rose, Tom Thibodeau and others said that Bulls' pitch is "going great."

The Chicago Bulls spent Tuesday courting unrestricted free agent Carmelo Anthony, and brought out just about everyone in the organization to help with their pitch.
According to sources close to the situation, the Bulls started their meeting with Anthony by giving him a tour of the United Center and then moved over to their practice facility.
The Bulls' brass made a pitch centered around the fact that a core of Anthony, Joakim Noah, Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson – with Tom Thibodeau coaching – would be able to contend right away in the depleted Eastern Conference.
While Rose had went on the record saying that he wasn't going recruit Anthony to Chicago, he was very involved in the team's courtship of the superstar free agent, according to sources close to the situation. While at the practice facility, sources say that Rose went through a private workout to show Anthony that he's healthy and ready to compete at a high level next season.
After meeting at the facility and discussing the team's pitch, the group went to dinner at the Peninsula Hotel in downtown Chicago. Anthony, Noah, Rose, Gibson, Thibodeau, Jerry Reinsdorf, Gar Forman and Scottie Pippen were all in attendance at the dinner.
The Bulls left the meeting and dinner feeling very confident that Anthony is seriously considering signing with Chicago, according to sources close to the situation.
Anthony will fly to Houston tonight. He will meet with the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, and then meet with the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Me too. Carmelo is 30 now. He doesn't have time to wait and hope his team will find the right pieces to put around him. He needs to go out and find that situation for himself. Chicago is perfect for him.

The Bulls are working on signing F Nikola Mirotic, sources told ESPN. He secured buyout today from Real Madrid according to @hoopshype
This doesn't mean the Bulls pursuit of Carmelo Anthony is over but the cap space required to sign Mirotic restricts options.

Until told otherwise, Bulls obviously operating as if they're still in Carmelo sweepstakes. Other plans in limbo until Carmelo decision.

Have never fully believed Knicks won't S&T Melo talk. It's what teams do when faced w/ losing star. Raptors/Bosh, Cavs/LBJ, Utah/Booz in '10

Always keep in mind: Star players have more flexibility than most. If Melo goes to CHI, in theory he could make up most of the $ later on.
