I'm an American living in India and to my surprise there is a new league starting play Sep 22, 2012. It is named the Elite Football League of India. It is sponsored by the NFL and the Government of India. Notable owners are Kurt Warner, Michael Irvin, Dick Butkus and actor Mark Wahlberg. All the players are from Asia. There is actually a team from Pakistan, the Pakistan Wolfpac. All the games are being played in Sri Lanka during the first season. I don't think there will ever be a home game in Pakistan, for obvious reasons. I catch the 49er games online in India and have been a diehard fan since 1953.

You will probably find this moved to Other Sports.
Yes, I remember a thread on this when it was starting up. Interesting idea, I hope it succeeds.
I'm also hoping the USFL or Hawaii League thing works out. I would love to see some football as well as some of our developing players in the offseason.
