What Sandusky did should have nothing to do with their accreditation. I know in Canada if a school loses its accreditation then your degree from that University is essentially useless. Anyone know if that is the same here in the US?

Technically yes. If you get a degree from an unacreddited school its basically like saying I signed up for one of those online colleges. But because of Penn State's history, people would probably believe the degree has value.

The more immediate effect is if they lose accredation, students can't be given federal grants or loans. Probably a 1/3 of Penn State students get loans/grants. So its pretty huge.

Spizzy should transfer, lol.
